GINROSA BITTER
DATING BACK TO 1885, GINROSA WAS DEVELOPED BY AN IMPORTANT FEMALE PHILANTHROPIST WHO MANAGED A WELL-KNOWN BAR IN PIAZZA SAN BABILA, THE HEART OF OUR BELOVED HOMETOWN MILAN.
The name GINROSA was given by Annunciata Bourne, an important philantropist that lived part of her busy life in Milan, managing for many years the so-called bar in Piazza San Babila. Thanks to the intuition of a modern marketing expert and - more importantly - having an all-female sensitivity, Mrs. Bourne wanted to differentiate her “Pink” Aperitif from the masculine ‘Red’ Campari. In 1910 bitter was added as an ingredient and in 1930 the formula that gave birth to the current Aperitif was brought to completion with the infusion of selected herbs and distillate of juniper berries. Today GINROSA BITTER is available in 1 liter bottle & 25% ABV.
